According to the society’s statute, the membership could be granted to “all citizens of Lithuania fond of the artistic book and determined to uphold the statute” who received recommendations from two members and were accepted unanimously at the general meeting held on January 27 of each year. This meeting was the highest authority of the society. The activities were coordinated and carried out by a management board elected every three years and consisting of the chairman, secretary, treasurer, chronicler, and assistant. A three-person audit commission was similarly elected every three years. The management board would meet between the general meetings, which it planned and announced.
